Terms of service

Last updated: 28 October 2026

These terms apply to merchants who install NativeCOD ("the app"), operated by Matsites, Malta ("we"). By installing the app you agree to them. Questions: support@matsites.com.

The service

NativeCOD adds a cash on delivery order form to Shopify stores and creates orders in your store using your Shopify shipping rates and discounts. Collecting payment on delivery, shipping and customer service stay your responsibility.

Plans and billing

  • Paid plans are billed by Shopify on your Shopify invoice, in USD. The free plan has a monthly order limit.
  • You can change or cancel your plan at any time from the app. Uninstalling cancels the subscription.
  • Price changes apply to new subscriptions; we give at least 30 days' notice before changing the price of an existing one.

Your responsibilities

  • Use the app lawfully and in line with Shopify's terms.
  • Give shoppers the privacy notices and cookie choices your law requires. The form respects the choices collected through Shopify's customer privacy settings.
  • Keep your shipping settings, discounts and order limits accurate.

Data processing terms

For shoppers' personal data handled by the app, you are the controller and we act as your processor. We commit to the following:

  • We process personal data only to provide the app's features as you configure them, and for no other purpose. We never sell it.
  • We keep it confidential and protect it with appropriate measures: encryption of personal data in our database (AES-256-GCM), encryption in transit (TLS), restricted and logged access, and separate test and production data.
  • Sub-processors: Shopify (the platform your store runs on) and our hosting provider. We will tell you before adding another.
  • We keep personal data only as long as our privacy policy states, then delete it.
  • We help you answer shoppers' requests to access or delete their data, including through Shopify's privacy requests, which the app handles automatically.
  • We notify you without undue delay, and within 72 hours, after becoming aware of a personal data breach affecting your store's data.
  • All of your store's data is deleted 48 hours after you uninstall the app.

Details of what we collect and why are in our privacy policy.

Availability and support

We work to keep the app available and fix problems quickly, but we can't promise uninterrupted service. Support: support@matsites.com.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or unpaid cash on delivery orders, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending the service

You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend stores that misuse the app, and we will give 60 days' notice if we ever close the service.

Changes and law

We will post changes on this page and tell you about material ones in advance. These terms are governed by the laws of Malta.
